Geoffrey Bawa’s No. 11

GEOFFREY BAWA’S NO. 11
Geoffrey Bawa's Colombo residence, Number 11, began as the third-row house in a set of four, which Bawa rented from lawyer, writer, and patron of the arts Harold Peiris in 1959. Within ten years, Bawa purchased four houses, which eventually underwent extensive renovation to create what we see today.

Number 11 represents Bawa's creativity post- independence and an ode to what he simply called "good Sri Lankan architecture."
