Landesi - Galle

Nestled in a historic oasis lies Landesi. Translated in Sinhala as ‘of Dutch origin,’ this manor house is within the Galle Fort, fortified by the Dutch in the 17th century and now a UNESCO World Heritage site. The bungalow, overlooking the Groote Kerk or the Dutch Reformed Church, was designed and built by renowned architect Ashley de Vos, a conservationist of the Galle Fort. Welcome to Landesi, a retreat into history.
