Yala National Park

Yala National Park, located in southeastern Sri Lanka, is the country's most visited and second-largest national park. Covering 979 square kilometers and designated a wildlife sanctuary in 1900, it is famous for its diverse wildlife, including elephants, leopards, and numerous bird species. Yala consists of five blocks and is adjacent to Kumana and Lunugamvehera National Parks. It features various ecosystems and is an important bird area with 215 bird species. The region also hosts ancient Buddhist sites.

We offer guided tours led by experienced naturalists, providing visitors with an in-depth understanding of the park's rich biodiversity and historical significance. The Mayur Lodge is located approximately 10 kilometers (6 miles) from the main entrance of Yala National Park, allowing easy access to the park's attractions.
